We are facing an epidemic of pornography online of which the repercussions remain not fully understood. And it is frightening. With the click of a mouse, anyone, at any age, at any time can view porn online.
Governments are still tied up by the “it’s a free-speech issue” argument. The porn industry has managed to hold onto the idea that porn is victimless entertainment that involves only the user and the consenting adults who participate. Regulations has yet to meet up with reality sufficient reason for technology. In a world where anyone can produce and upload porn videos or images, the web has become filled to the brim with hardcore pornography and disturbing content that nobody should be exposed to, let alone our children!
A report from the Witherspoon Institute in Princeton, N.J.,entitled, “The Social Costs of Pornography” points to new social science and brain research, and finds evidence that pornography causes multifaceted harms and warns that we will pay the price for this.
Porn is teaching negative behaviors and attitudes towards sexuality. Even though for adults this is often a big problem, for children which are seeing it, it is just a disaster that may impact their ability to have any sort of healthy sexual relationship if they grow up.

At home, friends, grandparents, school, the library, make sure a porn filter is installed on the computer. Demand it. It’s not going to go away in the event that you ignore it.
